September 22, 2017– Today we celebrated our annual Employee Appreciation Day at Spaulding! The afternoon kicked off with a company provided lunch catered on site from Chill Catering, which was delicious! Followed by employee gifts, games, prizes and raffles! Spaulding recognizes that employees are one of the company’s greatest assets and appreciation is a key motivational factor in the workplace! Thank you to the hard working and dedicated team at Spaulding, for another great year!!
August 25th, 2017 – Spaulding Composites, Inc of Rochester, NH is proud to announce the acquisition of Burbak Plastics of Wilton, NH. This strengthens Spaulding Composites commitment to become the leader in both advanced composite materials and specialized, high performance injection molding.
Burbak is a specialty provider of injection molded solutions (using high heat plastics) to the medical, firearms and defense industries with the ability to design and fabricate molds in-house. Burbak also offers a full array of secondary services including “white room” molding to meet a variety of medical standards of cleanliness and conformance.
Spaulding Composites recently practiced safety month. The month consisted of activities where the staff participated in weekly games for safety awareness! At the end of the month the safety committee hosted an Ice Cream party!. All staff received a new safety shirt and prizes were raffled for the games played 🙂
Spaulding Composites recently teamed up with the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NH MEP), and the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Department of Mechanical Engineering for a 3 day, hands on training in lean manufacturing. All parties had a great experience and gained useful knowledge that can be used in all aspects of manufacturing. Check out the full detail of the experience here!
Volunteers from Spaulding Composites, teamed up with Southeast New Hampshire’s Habitat for Humanity on Thursday June 15th, 2017. Our employees volunteered their time from their work day to lend a helping hand, at a home project in Middleton, NH. We as a company enjoy participating in volunteering efforts to give back to the community and its a fun way to get paid for the day! It’s great feeling to give back to the community and feel satisfaction in helping others!
We worked on putting finishing touches to the property; hanging doors, painting trim, and spreading loam. The volunteer team was one of 25 different groups to participate in the build. An estimated 3,000 plus volunteer hours were put into this project. The property was donated to the organization and the build was started in November 2016. A family of four will reside in the 2 bedroom house very soon, as the project has almost reached completion.

Mr. Otto has been with Spaulding Composites, Inc. since early 2013. Prior to his appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer, he served as their Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In this role he led the company into new, expanding markets and has been overseeing the companies rebranding as a solutions provider of fabricated composite components.
Mr. Otto began his career with Spaulding as Vice President of Operations where his Lean manufacturing background and experience has successfully helped Spaulding reduce lead times and cost while improving quality while undergoing a complete Lean reorganization of the company’s 100,000 square foot facility.
