Cryogenic Materials and Insulation Components

Spaulding Composites has over 30 years of expertise manufacturing and designing special composite materials for cryogenic applications, including customized cryotubes. Spaulding continues to be instrumental in the development of cryogenic grades of glass epoxy materials. Our vertically integrated manufacturing process has placed SCI at the forefront of the cryogenic market. The cryogenic materials we manufacture are widely favored in liquid nitrogen and liquid helium applications.

Spaulding’s versatile materials have been formulated to be used in LNG transportation and storage, both as bottom tank supports and horizontal tank supports. Our specialty materials are used with superconducting magnets, fusion reactor insulation and large scale lab equipment, such as particle accelerators, bulk storage, structural components for satellite applications in extreme environments and Dewar neck tubes.
